Freaking Idiots Guide to Selling on eBay How Anyone Can Make $100 or More Everyday Selling on eBay (Audible Audio Edition) Nick Vulich Chuck McKibben Books
If you're new to eBay selling then "Freaking Idiots Guide To Selling on eBay," is the book that you should have. It's a step by step guide from a guy who has done it successfully thousands of times. In fact he's got $ 397,252.88 in sales to prove it...talk about inspiring and motivational!Well before I knew that; the title inspired me. Not that I consider myself an idiot; far be from it; but I was ignorant to the fact of how to successfully navigate and sell on eBay. This guide allowed me because of its easy layout to follow it to the `T" in setting up my account and going about getting listed.
Now you're going to have to put on your MONEY GOGGLES! What's that you may ask; no worries I wondered the same thing. You don't have to buy anything; just change your perception of what is around you. Gosh when Nick was finished opening my eyes my home started looking like a hidden gold mind!
Like I said this book is for the beginner and you will definitely have a jump on those who have not read this book because you're getting advice from an expert. The author teaches you that profitable items are every where and he guides you to adopt an `out of the box thinking' style.
Here's just a few listings of what you will learn from this guide; which I think are the most critical.
1. The most commonly used ways of listing,
2. How to set an auto decline (real time saver here)
3. How to make your first sale
4. Writing compelling titles (This is a deal cincher)
5. Tips on how to write the best description
Now like I mentioned this is just a small list, there's tons more that you will learn and they will serve to help you to customize your offerings.
Oh and this book is also short and to the point. All the B.S has been removed so you don't fall asleep and never get that listing done. And with that said; there's one tiny, tiny comment the author made that I disagree with. He mentions that eBay "hits" you with an 8-15% sellers fee. Shucks; there's a service place that HITS you with a 20% fee on each gig, then you get charged another percentage when you transfer your funds. So eBay fees are reasonable... surely no one's getting "hit" with them.
Like I said it's tiny. I was using a service gig company before. They're cool as a great place to get your feet wet but at the end of the day you're essentially working for peanuts when you're offering services.
I've read a couple other guides on eBay selling but they were just too long. I like to cut to the chase and that's what Nick provided in helping me get started. So my suggestion in case you missed it: Get The Book & Put Your Money Goggles On!

Freaking Idiots Guide to Selling on eBay How Anyone Can Make $100 or More Everyday Selling on eBay (Audible Audio Edition) Nick Vulich Chuck McKibben Books Reviews
Good value for Price. Items is as described. Packaging was good with adequate protection. Fast shipping. Everything as promised!
The book gave me a good beginners guide to selling, but left me with a lot of unanswered questions. It is a good way to jump in and get your first taste of eBay selling. It did help guide me to the answers I was looking for though or at least peaked my interest enough to find additional information.
This has been an inspiration for me and my wife. Spring cleaning was never so profitable before this book. Thanks.
I'm sure there are longer and more detailed books about selling on eBay. But if you want real-life advice from someone who's been making a living doing this since 1999, Nick Vulich explains the process to you as if you were in his workroom watching him do his job. He tells you the benefits, the drawbacks, and best practices. I thought it was good advice.
I have learned so much to get my ebay started. Great information! I was really impressed with how to do a listing. Great information on customer service. A must read if you are going to sell on ebay.
About ten years ago I sold items frequently on ebay. But then I graduated from college and took on a regular job and let the selling fall by the wayside. Now I'm working in a career that is much more seasonal, and I have lots of extra time on my hand. Rather than sit around, I'd prefer to make some extra money. I looked at this book as both a refresher and an update on what by now were out-of-date ebay skills.
The book fulfilled my expectations. It gave me an outstanding overview of the current ebay selling climate as well as tips that I can implement now. As someone who had sold on ebay before some of the information wasn't new to me, but anyone who is coming into ebay selling for the first time will find this book to be doubly useful.
While the $100/day target the author is entirely feasible, even people who want to just sell a bit on the side should walk away after reading this much better equipped to make money with part-time selling.
I felt that Nick Vulich's book about selling on ebay was both helpful and an easily read. He did not use a bunch of complicated lingo specific to the industry; he explained his reasons for instructing you on which way to do things, which helps me to understand if his ideas would work for my situation. I have read other books recently that were not as helpful in finding suppliers for your Ebay products, and through his book, he has opened up a world of opportunity for me by sharing his own experiences. I am a huge advocate of not reinventing the wheel, so whatever works for someone else is what I will try first versus trying to create my own way. After all, if I were successful with my own methods, I wouldn't need this book, would I? My only complaint would be that it would be great to have a book (and maybe he does already) that explains in the ins and outs of the confusing and intimidating amount of whole-sellers out there.
